Introducing this hidden gem waterfowl and pheasant hunting lease! This lease features a prime landscape that hosts bountiful populations of ducks, geese, and pheasants, oh and don't discount the deer hunting. Nestled in the middle of the section runs a band of CRP grass, some wetland, and a pond. The CRP is filled with pheasant, roosters were cackling from all directions during my inspection, and I flushed a nice group of birds once I stepped into the grass. The wetland marsh area was full of water as the snow had just melted off for spring, a bunch of duck and geese groups were in that marsh area. The pond is sheltered by some mounds and when I approached the water there was again a bunch of ducks all over it. As I inspected the pond, I noticed a herd of deer busting out of the south as they must have caught my wind. I didn't notice the deer until they were too far for my camera unfortunately but my point being, there is a good herd of deer in this section of land. The row crop field must have been filled with geese at one time, their tracks were everywhere between corn rows. This lease may not look like much from the google aerial or from the highway boundary edge but don't be fooled, there is an oasis of habitat and plenty of game within it.
